3D Fold & Graphics with ArtTrace (Prerequisite: none) – In this workshop, the participant will be exposed to the 3rd dimension of Impact. Impacts 3D engine not only allows the operator to create beautifully rendered 3D models of their designs, but also use the graphics that have been applied in the actual designing process. We will explore these powerful and easy to use tools by creating 3D designs and implementing ArtTrace to quickly make custom die cuts from the placed artwork. • Creating 3D fold Models • Applying Graphics • Saving Hi-Res 3D images • 3D PDF’s • Creating custom die cuts with ArtTrace
3D Shape Creator & Multipart Design (Prerequisite: 3D Fold & Graphics with ArtTrace) – Impacts ability to place graphics and fold up a design is just the beginning. This workshop focuses on the flexible advanced modeling and assembly capabilities of Impact. You will see the ease of using an actual 3D model to create a design from. Then, by using Impacts new 3D trim feature, observe how quick it is to create custom dies from those 3D objects and automatically apply them in position to the design. • Creating 3D Models • Incorporation of Models to Design • Designing custom die cuts with the 3D Trim tool
Tips & Tricks (Prerequisite: none) – Time is most precious in any work environment. This workshop provides participants with valuable time savers and techniques to maximize the potential of Impacts working environment. It also affords the opportunity to not only learn time saving techniques from the Arden team, but also share some tricks of your own. • Working with Blocks • Edit and Selection tricks • Getting the most from the Impact interface
Designing in Impact (Prerequisite: none) – The whole purpose is getting the design created quickly. This class focuses on just that. We will show the user how to create designs using Impacts geometry creation tools as well as creating designs by incorporating Impacts powerful Design Components tool and utilizing the ever expanding Standards Library. • Design creation • Working with Design components • Using standards
Animation (Prerequisite: 3D Shape Creator & Multipart Design) – In this workshop, we will cover the exciting animation capabilities of Impact. Participants will learn how to create animations ranging from a simple single piece to a more complex multi-part structure. We will also show how to control multiple cameras and lights as well as the fading features offered to make your animation presentations really stand out. • Create single and Multi-Piece animations • Camera Control • Lighting control • Fades and blends between camera shots
Layout (Prerequisite: none) – Creating Layouts not only optimizes time with making dies, but also sending files to the sample table. Here the participants will be exposed to the many options and controls a designer has available to them with the Layout tools within Impact. From creating basic single layouts to multiple piece layout integration, the user will see the full potential of Impacts layout capabilities • Using the Layout Creator • Using the Quick Layout tool • Adjusting an existing Layout • Single and Multi-piece Layouts
Dieboards (Prerequisite: none) – The true exposure to Impacts Die Making tools and essential for the beginner as well as the more advanced. This workshop embraces the functionality of diemaking and covers the most expedient procedures and easy to use tools at your disposal. All participants will walk away with something new to help them in production. • Adding Dieboards • Working with Stripping Knives • Creating Symbol Patterns • Rotary Bridging • Rotary Split
Counters and Rubber (Prerequisite: Dieboards) – From Fast Auto MakeReady to Auto Rubbering, Impact provides the tools to breeze you through the processes required. Participants interactively follow our Arden professional through the abundant array of tools to truly make a difference in time savings and accuracy. • Fast Auto MakeReady • MakeReady Overridings • Auto Rubber • Nester Auto Rubber
Strippers & Blankers (Prerequisite: Dieboards) – Every shop is unique. This class will cover not only the standard settings of Impacts Strippers & Blanker functionality, it also provides the information required to quickly customize and override existing settings to expedite your jobs fast and accurate. Speed is the need and this class provides the insight to allow anyone to master the use of these tools. • All Pins and Rule Strippers • Wooden Blocks Strippers • Combination Pins & Blocks Strippers • Blanker Tool
Parametrics (Prerequisite: Basic Structural Design Skills or equivalent experience) – Parametrics are one of the most powerful and time saving features of Impact. This workshop will provide the foundation to parametric design in which you will be able to build your own resizable geometry from. We will give a comprehensive understanding of what parametrics are, how the Impact engine views them, and how to analyze a design so they can be incorporated optimally. • What the benefits are of Parametrics? • Creating Parametric Designs • Analyzing How a design is to be resized
Standards & Design Components (Prerequisite: Parametrics) – This workshop will turbo charge your parametric designs for the entire department. Here, you will build upon the parametric skills you learned and incorporate designs into easy to access libraries so they can be called upon time and time again. We will create a full standard design as well as show how to build Design Components that can be incorporated into any existing design by a simple drag and drop process. • Create Standards • Building your Standards Library • Create Design components • Building your Design Components Library
Report Templates (Prerequisite: none) – Generating comprehensive reports is essential for any designer to properly express their ideas and vital production information.
